After the run, we will meet up for refreshments and workshops from our community partners and friends, giveaways, and an opportunity to further get to know our partners.

Â
My name is Alex Alvarez, I’m a Mexican-American Registered Dietitian from Marietta, Georgia. My passion in nutrition and community grew from my own journey of improving my diet and relationship with food as well as being raised by entrepreneur parents in the restaurant business who taught me how valuable a role food plays in our culture and people. I currently work in telehealth providing nutrition counseling for Medicaid patients as well as coaching a few clients 1-on-1 and assisting management of our 30 year old family restaurant. My siblings and I have also created a Latino-inspired run group, Los Corridos, to create a space and community to inspire and motivate movement every Saturday with a few miles, some smiles, and a few songs along the way.
